Rad Tech II- PRN

Description

Under the direction of a director or other supervisor, assumes the responsibility and accountability for producing diagnostic procedures on anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site radiologist. The CT Technologist (referred to as technologist) maintains a safe environment and conducts patient education as necessary. Technologist follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality. Technologist works in collaboration with all other care disciplines to provide safe, efficient, and coordinated care for patients. Utilizes established policies and procedures of Andalusia Health and maintains clinical competencies through continuing education. He/she must be able to recognize and assess changes in mental and/or physical conditions resulting in life threatening conditions.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS:
a. Must possess knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
b. Image Gently education completed within 90-days of hire.
c. Effective Oral and written communication skills including AIDET
d. Ability to utilize keyboard, computer, and various pieces of general office equipment
e. Ability to work independently or as a team member to ensure quality of patient care
f. Ability to prioritize work assignments during periods of stress and high patient volume
g. Ability to lift or move patients of various sizes and ages between beds/wheelchairs or gurneys
h. Ability
. Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program, or equivalent certification.
b. Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) designated with ARRT (CT) designation preferred.
c. (CT) certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.
d. BCLS Certification Required.
e. Image quality competency completion required within 90-days.
f. Ability to accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicates need. Will be available to report to the facility within 45 minutes of notification.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
